When I was looking at Snapnames the other day, I saw an auction for FitnessTrainer.com, and I placed a bid on it. The domain name went to auction on Thursday afternoon, and the auction continued for a couple of hours after its original close time, with 5 minute extensions following last minute bids. In his first year carrying the primary sponsorship of Godaddy.com, Mark Martin and his Hendrick Motorsports #5 Chevrolet has won the pole position for the 2010 Daytona 500! This is like an early win for Godaddy before the 2 Super Bowl commercials air which will bring a lot more eyes to Godaddy.com on Sunday!

For online domain auctions, less is more.
Two “extended” domain name auctions concluded this week. The results were underwhelming.
In the Rick Latona auction, only 9 of 600 domain names sold. The Moniker extended auction sold 79 of about 2,000 domains.
So what’s the problem? Too many domains, and especially too many poorly priced... »

Firefly Digital , a Web site design, development and hosting company, filed a federal lawsuit against Google last week, alleging the Internet search engine giant infringed on two of its registered trademarks.

Some time ago I noticed a mall complex in my home city of Greensboro, NC and a large road sign for the real estate firm handling the mall’s property management. The firm is Collett & Associates based out of Charlotte, NC. The large road sign showcasing their company read www.Collett.biz.
